I realize in the grand scheme of things this makes very little difference. But if you have a kid due in a few months it might make a huge difference.
No, it’s not correct. A July hire will not be able to fly in PHL before you do if you’re senior to them, if you’ve had PHL on your bid.

2020 notwithstanding, it's seems like we've been behind our 5 year plan forever. Getting 10 airplanes, the best we can do is 6. Oh 2022 will be a big year, yeah it'll be 24 now.

I hope someone can prove me wrong with real numbers, but it definitely feels like that.
The fleet has doubled since I was hired.

Also, things happen. Like production delays and pandemics. Both totally out of the companies control.

Also, there's business growth and there is the growth that's important to you. We've swapped 30+ 319s for 321s and 320s. That's substantial business growth that didn't require growing the seniority list

That’s what I figured but you never know if some wierd scenario that crew planning didn’t contemplate the contractual ramifications of might play out sometimes. It’s happened where upgrades were allowed to bid as fo’s and shouldn’t have been. Not enough days in the bid period before upgrade class. That’s the one a few years ago where they just moved the start of class back a day or two. Originally they just stuck it on the 16th thinking that was more than half the bid period however the bid period started late and ran into the next month.

This is exactly my point! new hires are not allowed to perm bid in Flica until they complete training! So after bid -06 the vacancies go to the july class and june is stuck not being able to transfer to their desired base even though it is available to a july hire.

New hires should have access to FLICA as they get to Sims. Make sure you have a bid in. If you have problems reach out to the union, that’s what they are there for

The concern there is that it’s not an option for the June class yet. FLICA won’t let us put a standing bid in and shows us as ineligible.

Yep, I already recommended someone from the class send a DART but you can only lead a horse to water, you can't stop them from crying on APC.

Gents, a question about the current contract... A contract from 2007 available online has a statement about monthly pay credit minimums I'm curious about. It says:

"At the completion of a Monthly Bid Period a Pilot must have a minimum of 70 hours of Pay Credit. At no time shall a Pilot be allowed to Drop below 50 hours of Pay Credit."

I don't have access to the current contract. Is the 50 hour pay credit minimum statement still there? If not, what does the current contract say about monthly minimums?

Yes that language is still there, however there are 6 bid periods a year now where we have to end the month with a minimum of 60 hours instead of 70.

it is. However in the post pbs world it’s a joke. You drop to 50 good luck getting back to 70, or 60 on those months we’re allowed. We should be able to drop to 50 every month.
