Frontier does not require that to be Turbine PIC. Flight instruction in a Cessna 172 counts. Most ATP holders probably meet our requirements.

I’ve seen quite a few people mention frontier having a hard time finding applicants. I can assure you there is no shortage of applicants. I know of many regional Captain and First Officers waiting for an opportunity to fly for Frontier.

It will be interesting to see what happens as upgrades come to a standstill because there aren't enough FO's. Countless interviewing every week, probably a source of all the sick call spike on top of COVID. Gonna get ugly this summer if new hires can't keep up with / outpace attrition.

Spot on. ULCC’s are happy to pickup regional FO’s because they’ll have a harder time leaving. Buyer beware.

I tend to disagree. The regionals do feed flying for them, so it’s sort of hurting themselves by hiring a regional pilot. Hiring from LCC’s leaves pilots at their regional feed while hurting their competitors.

I would disagree. We have 30-40 a month right now that are going somewhere and I’d venture a lot of those FOs don’t have TPIC. Legacies seem to be targeting ULCC pilots, in fact, it was said by a high up UA management type that it’s cheaper to take ULCC pilots then buy the whole airline.
