hoping tomorrow's the day lol.
Still have a CJO for 3/19.. Has not yet been rescheduled or cancelled. They told us that we'd be notified 6 weeks in advance of any changes or cancellations, tbh I don't remember what specifically they said but that 6 week mark was a few days ago. So I'm wondering if that's a good sign or bad sign. Hopefully get confirmation of my training timeline tomorrow, it's cutting it close because they still have to send me and my peers going in march to ATP Jets for like 3 or 4 weeks so.. Getting curious now.
The good news is it does seem as though the March class will happen. So worst case perhaps it's another month of waiting for April which is right around the corner.
Stayontarget is right, the math breaks down to roughly 30 or 35 hires per month to staff new planes depending on # of pilots per plane, and considering that they canceled Feb class. Any attrition only inflates that number, ie if F9 loses 20 pilots per month that's a rate of ~50 pilots per class Mar - Dec. I would think industry wide that Q2-4 are pretty rapid hiring wise and that attrition will rise.
Here's to hoping for news for the many people in the dark in the hiring pool.

ok, fair enough. I am assuming the planes are coming. If they don't, or come in significantly lower than anticipated, or the engine issues wreck the op, then these numbers are out to lunch.. But it seems like the classes have to be coming, and possibly large at that.

Bring it! I want us to get a little leaner so maybe some day I can get a premium trip.

So we have lost 23 this week? Or lost in January or February, or so far this year? Sorry, I'm not smart.

Dang! I know of at least 2 more leaving a little later in February. I knew the slow down was only because of the holiday season. It's about to ramp up.
