Default CVG questions

I have an interview in February and have a few questions :

1) How long does it take to hold a line?
2) Is long call reserve senior
3) Are 2-4 day trips mainly junior?
4) If it's short call reserve, what's the typical time to report if i'm activated? I know it says two hours but i'm 1:50 minutes away, don't want to be late and trying to avoid crashpad etc.
5) Is parking provided only for that base you're assign? Or do you get reimburse for commuting as well from another base.
6) What can I expect while on reserve as far as time on and off. 3 or 4 on and 3 or 4 off intervals?

CVG is my focus and I know I may or may not get it fresh out of class.

Thank you

It depends on which base, and seasonality.

2) Is long call reserve senior
Typically, but not always

3) Are 2-4 day trips mainly junior?
It depends. Redeyes and other annoyances (ATL) can leave some untouched

4) If it's short call reserve, what's the typical time to report if i'm activated? I know it says two hours but i'm 1:50 minutes away, don't want to be late and trying to avoid crashpad etc.
Plan on exactly two hours. Either a crashpad or a hangout spot halfway.

5) Is parking provided only for that base you're assign?
In-base parking or parking credit

6) What can I expect while on reserve as far as time on and off. 3 or 4 on and 3 or 4 off intervals?
You can usually build the pattern you want if thats all you care about.

CVG is my focus and I know I may or may not get it fresh out of class.
The scheduling mechanics are different in small bases.

Check FFTpilots.com for more specifics, but all of this could change tomorrow.

Thank you

1. Depends on the base. Check FFTpilots for a general guess
2. Not super senior but depends on the month and base. People pick different RSV's for different reasons
3. Depends on the base. ATL trips are more junior as there are less turns. Same with Denver. Other bases have a lot more turns so trips can go more senior.
4. 2 hour callout is the minimum. Usually youre given more time than that but you can def get 2 hour call outs. If youre 1:50 away just get there ASAP and it probably wont be an issue.
5. Parking covered in your assigned base if you want it. If you dont take the company parking you'll get a $36 monthly stipend.
6. Depends how you bid. If im on reserve I bid to have weekends off so usually its 5 on 2 off and then a like a full week off somewhere in the month. You have about 12/13 days off depending on the month but I think the bidding software guarantees a minimum of 3 days off unless you waive that restriction.

1: In CVG, 6-12 months
3: Yes. Currently, top FO bids RSL, and there are only 2-3 RSL lines. Top 40% would still not see RSL in CVG.

Also worth noting that there has been almost no growth in CVG for awhile

Not saying you’re wrong. But, other than Atlanta, where has there been consistent growth?

Maybe PHL. You tell me.

Not phx. Not TPA.

Den has been what I would call “rebounding”.

MCO and MIA seem to just hold steady but might have potential. Again, it’s an over saturation issue the last two years in FL.

Id tell you Vegas is on a downward trajectory. Don’t plan on anything there. At this point I’d put money on contraction if things continue.

CLE, DFW, and SJU? I think there’s potential, for growth, but there’s nothing announced. Just rumors with DFW

I know Philly was alright for awhile (better than expected), but I’ve never heard anything significant out of it since forever.
