You keep mentioning this . . . why does someone who's the president and been w/ the company for 7+ years need 30 days? And, why would anyone ask for 30 days to plan if they were never going to share it?

I hope he shares a plan with us, but I suspect he won't. Heck, any communication would be nice.

The “looking to buy NK” was just to look at the books. F9 has a great idea of what not to do. There’s no doubt if NK folds, F9 benefits. Lots of planes on order to handle. Fares will probably go up with less ULCC competition. Definitely a win for F9. Can’t see Franke giving a decent contract unless there’s money to give. Just be smarter than NK and don’t price out of a job.

Being the only ULCC hurts us. The Big 4 now only have to price match 1 carrier instead of 2. And, you think Atlanta, Houston or Dallas airports are gonna sell their vacant gates to us? We may get a gate or two in MCO but unless we want to move into FLL or ACY, I'd suspect F9 now becomes even more easy for the bigger airlines to squeeze out.
I hope I'm wrong but history generally proves otherwise.

This is not true.

it’s the same reason we are getting rid of E gates and moving too C gates. Delta wants them for whatever reason and the C gates coming are cheaper…
trip over a dollar to pick up a penny… we will see what JD will do going forward

ATL offered to let us EVERYONE buy southwest divestment earlier in 2025. BB decided it was more cost effective TOO EXPENSIVE AND DECIDED to just use them as priority community gates
it’s the same reason we are getting rid of E gates and moving too C gates. Delta wants themfor whatever reason TO KEEP OUR GATE TOTAL DOWN AND BECAUSE THEY ARE BETTER GATES and the C gates coming are cheaper…
