Going to frontier for anything other than a type rating to jump to a major quicker is an exercise in delusion. The contract is somewhat better than before but it lags greatly behind most other majors. Even some regional airlines. Anyone who tells you otherwise has a personal motivation and isn’t helping you. Go to American OP.
But frankly my biggest metrics for judging an airline over the long term is: money, time off, and benefits. Sure there's dozens of other things I'm thinking about (commuting, upgrade, growth, stability, satisfaction, etc.). And I don't doubt that some/all of those things are better elsewhere. Maybe. Maybe not.
But are those things truly that awful at F9? Honest question. Thank you.

ClearCreek, I don't pretend to know what you've gone through at F9 to say those things. And I'm sure you have legitimate grievances with the company to be saying that.

A decent contract can change a lot of things. Paycheck change a lot of attitudes. Also the co tract we have is here for 4 more years, may as well work with it because nothing is changing till then.

The airline is still the same, but there is no longer any hostility coming down from management. And I really don't think many guys have put much thought to that yet. The moral on the line is quite good right now.

Honestly, it's more than just the fact that we got our contact. The company is treating us better. They aren't hassling us over sick time usage or any of the other BS stuff that was going on.

Wait a couple of years. We had a year or so honeymoon at G4 after our contract but thats all over now. Payroll and scheduling ignoring our contract. Hassling us over sick time usage. Fly now grieve later for everything. Literally hundreds of backlog grievances from this year alone. Ignoring their side letter to negotiate a transparent PBS system and taking the union to court. Good times.
