Default Reserve in PHX

Was just awarded my first schedule. RSC in PHX (no commuting). Any insight on what reserve is like in PHX?

If nobody in PHX chimes in, you can always look at the scheduled daily departures and see which ones fit into your reserve block for potential call outs. In some bases, RSC is the least used, but I don’t know about PHX.

Do reserves get used outside their home base frequently if there are excess reserves at home?

It can happen, but not that common. An example would be LAS pairing is in open time, they would deadhead you to LAS to fly the trip/flight and DH you back to PHX.

I think that’s more common to the Florida bases that are close together.

I would think in PHX you'll get deadheaded to LAS and DEN fairly often. Especially LAS

Don’t they have their own reserve pilots? With it being as junior as it is I would think they have plenty of coverage.
