They’ll offer us a $40/hr across the board pay raise tied to a 5 year deal, the dismissal of all outstanding grievances, and no changes to anything else. When we don’t take the deal, they’ll start sending airframes to other carriers until we capitulate.

You heard it here first.

I have been told by multiple union sources that this is a myth and cannot happen. But someone smarter than me on APC would have to chime in.

Perhaps they will.

that’s the beginning of the end. The only people who will stay will be the senior - and this airline can’t afford just paying those with 8+ yrs on property. Parking/giving away aircraft and mandatory downgrades are the nail in the coffin.

That’s correct. It would be a failure to represent case. For every legit grievance.

You guys are going down the rabbit hole here. We will get a contract but first the company will try every play in the book and when they’re desperate enough they will come to the table. Probably 2-3 years from now.

With on-time flights hovering around 40%, they can play hardball all they want…
… and then the crews will stop going above and beyond to float the operation.
…. and those numbers will go into the toilet even more.

maybe so much indigo will finally sell us off to a operator who cares about doing an operation with pride

There are rumors that ERAU is a good school, that doesn't make it true though...

If thats the case then why are airlines looking to them to solve the pilot shortage? ER grads come out with more experience than a 1-2 year RJ guy. The education is second to none. That’s why they’re flowing from college to bigger airlines.
