Im not sure, but there is a whole lot of stuff being said, not a lot being done or pushed. Why was our last picket like 6 months ago? I get we have the RLA, but I feel like we could do more.

I can’t be certain and they probably wouldn’t tell us even if we sent a dart but the newsletters sound like they are gearing up for a push to be released ASAP.

It sure does sound like it. I hope we can push to get released soon. I have been saving up the last year.

I have as well but that doesn’t seem like that will ever be a possibility. If we take a stroll down history lane—how many airlines or cargo companies are currently in negotiations and have been for 4 plus years? They have not been released yet… so I’d just pump the brakes on the expectations or hopefulness. Given the fact that they couldn’t even spell check the memo before going out, I’m not sure you’re going to see anything fast happen here.

Allegiant requested to be released a couple of months ago and they were laughed out of the room. Having said that, they are Teamsters, not ALPA, and they have a huge union mess in their hands, so it may be a different scenario with us. Also, two years is not a really long time in negotiations….but it sounds like the company is basically waisting everyone’s time, including the mediators’, so who knows…

We are not in a union friendly environment at the moment.

Do you think the last admin was better toward organized labor? Does Dec 22 ring a bell?

Precisely. We are in a very bad place when it comes to government support for our position.
