Frontier Hiring.

A monkey could fly an Airbus... in perfect weather with no mx issues.
That isn't what they pay us for. An Airbus is still going 500mph and 5 miles in the sky. Next time you hear someone say that just cut their profession down to the bare minimum.
So you're an accountant? A monkey with a calculator could do your job.
So you're a flight attendant? So you just hand out drinks and point at exits? (this one is perfect for when they say we just turn on the autopilot)
etc etc

It's a 500 pic requirement... not 500tpic... it can be in a 150... their minimums are much but they do stick to them... I don't know if frontier is gonna be like spirit and make the job fairs basically a "requirement" but going can only help... in my interview I was told they hire people, not pilots and that they could teach a monkey to fly an airbus... I had over 3000 of jet 121 pic and I was never even asked about the legacies... if you show them you'll fit in and you want to be there, they'll hire you
I wish it was just PIC for Spirit as I have over 1,000 but the way my current job is I'll never get the TPIC so unfortunately cannot talk to them. Maybe it will change in the future.

100% concur with this opinion. My class also had several military guys (C-130, Blackhawks, P-3 instructor, etc) lots of guys with 121 TPIC, 747 freight guys, and several very experienced 91 capts.
Common thread...qualified guys who will fit in very well within the pilot group, the company culture, and truly believe in what the company is trying to accomplish.

If they think you are using F9 as a stepping stone, you are not getting hired. That is the bottom line. This is from the mouth of one of the CKA doing interviews for the last 2 interview sessions. This has become a bigger deal of late. I'm guessing the guys in your class had convincing stories when asked the question.
Now things may change at F9 in a couple years to make this less so, but as of now? Let's just be honest here...

I think that's very accurate, but at the same time I am having a VERY hard time believing that anybody that has been on property for less than three years wouldn't immediately bail for Delta (or a similar Legacy) if given the chance. Particularly if they are younger than 40... Then it would just be outright stupid to pass that up. Anybody that says otherwise just isn't being honest IMO.

I just point this out because you've said many time you don't understand why you didn't get the job.
You ought to take the rejection as a compliment and move on - You're solid Delta material and you know it.
Now as far as there never being a reason a newish hire under 40 with a clean slate would stay at Frontier if a legacy called... Bunk. There are a myriad of good reasons why individual human beings do the things they do, and only rarely is because they are "outright stupid." Life is never as simple as you elude.
I don't know about the future of the Denver base, but I would stay at Frontier forever to avoid commuting to Atlanta or Newark. Bump me out of Denver and well - that's another story.

I'm not buying it.
My class had three AF guys - one that flew 747s and was the squadron CO, one that flew C-141s, and one that flew F-15s. He was a squadron commander, as well as a top gun (or whatever it is in the AF) graduate, AND he ran the ROTC program at a major university.

If they can get a decent schedule and a moderate amount of pay - they're on the super fast-track to Fat Dumb & Happy

wrx - don't take this the wrong way - but in this post you basically just admitted you weren't honest in the interview about this. They probably detected it. It isn't your fault - you're put into an impossible position. You either lie in which case they sniff that out, or you are honest, and they pass over you for it.

I really would be happy at Frontier, and would have expected to have a lengthy career there. But yep... If a Legacy called I would have bailed UNLESS things changed while I was there. Continued growth and a new payscale? Very likely I would have stayed.
