Frontier Hiring.
#3791
Just a quick question, has Frontier now included a 500 PIC requirement for new hire FO applications. Cause I know over the past year, Frontier was desperately hiring FOs with 2500TT or above and PIC did not matter. But now I just filled out t heir application and noticed they are requiring a minimum of 500hrs PIC and thats the only i thing i dont have. And within half hour I got a Thanks But No Thanks from Frontier because the question where it asked if you have 500hrs PIC, I answered NO. All the other questions I answered yes and I met their req. So I am assuming now they want some PIC experience compared to none or low before.

Pretty sure Frontier was not desperately hiring FOs. From what I saw, plenty of well qualified people are showing up to job fairs just to chat and drop off a resume...

thats good to hear that the bar is finally raised as Frontier had one of my buddies in the summer class who had decent time and with all due respect to him, he had 4 DUIs on his record and he got hired. So that kind of shows the desperation but as i said that was over the summer when they were not picky on the 500 PIC time and wanted people who would come and not go and cannot get hired anywhere else.

Hate to label, but you have no clue what you are talking about
Just briefly looking at your posting history you are the desperate one.

Whats the reason for that such a low hire rate? Are the guys performing poorly in the interview or are they doing that crap that VX did or still does by bringing in 10-12 guys with the intention of only hiring 2-3?

They are looking for people who see Frontiers potential and who are not going to jump ship. I'm sure there are people that do poorly and don't get the job, but my guess is the majority of people are thinking of Frontier as a stepping stone and the interviewers can see that. They want people who will stick around, pretty much that simple. That's why the low hire rate, in my opinion.

Here's something off topic, how does the airbus do with prescription sunglasses that are polarized? Im a new-hire and looking at getting some prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses. Anyone have experience with this particular brand in the bus? Currently waiting on OE so I haven't been able to test my normal sunglasses...
