Thanks for the reply. Anyone else interview recently?

Thanks, yeah I'm wondering if most people do self study with the gouges or pay for a consulting company like most do for a UA...etc interview

Just pay the $20 for aviation interviews. Study the gouges, show up well dressed, have your paperwork in order, be nice to everyone, be sociable, get hired. It's that easy.

Thanks for the input, sounds like it's not as intense as a legacy interview?

Interviewed a couple weeks ago and got the offer. 7 out of 13 were offered a job. During the interviews on the day prior, 6 of 13 were offered a job. I didn't use an interview prep course but I did study IFR procedures and regulations heavily. Also read all the gouges on aviationinterviews.com to help prepare. Gouges were spot on. Know your current aircraft well. Overall a great experience and well organized. No applicant seemed confused over what was going on. They do a great job putting your mind at ease. Good luck!

Edit: I did purchase and read Checklist of Success by Cheryl Cage. Worth it in my opinion. It was interesting to see the different interview styles/techniques used by the hiring team.

Anyone have thoughts as to why they're only hiring half of each interview class on average?

Not sure why they do that, maybe someone who has done interviews can chime in. I'm not a huge fan of the way F9 interviews. I spent 10 hours at the GO and maybe 20 minutes was actually in a formal interview setting. I'm all about being sociable but making 10 hours of small talk is pretty exhausting.

Could be any number of reasons. They ended up turning down folks that lived in Denver too. There was a pretty even mix of 121, 135, and 91 guys (captains and FOs) that didn't get the job. The entire day is an interview. Yes, you're in front of interviewers for maybe an hour total throughout the day (to include morning introductions) but they have Frontier pilots in the cafeteria sitting with you for a reason. They asked about where we were coming from, what bases we'd like, and discussed schedules and quality of life. Even if you're not in the panel interview or SBI, be social. If you sit there in the corner by yourself, it's probably not helping. Also keep your phone off. I'm certain that the pilots socializing with us had some sort of say in the hiring process. I was told that they have hired 75-100% of an interview group on several occasions.

Are there any current F9 guys that would be willing to share what the realistic earnings for year one would be?

Min guarantee at first year rates indicates about $35k. I am curious how accurate that is (assuming training included).
