Beat down the employees with low wages, outsourcing, dragging their feet on contract talks and taking a "you can routinely **** off a once a year flyer without much long term repercussions, because there's more just like them to follow" attitude?
ULCC's offer two things to the public, low upfront fares (spiked with fees) and cherry pick leisure point-to-point routes that can fill up a 320 at least a few times a week.

I think it's funny that no one thinks we could willing staff a PHL base. Almost everyone I fly with in ORD lives east of the Mississippi, and a healthy majority of those are from the NORTHEAST.
I think West Coast first as well, but not being able to staff a Northeast base without displacing people is Nonsense.
