Mesa CA here. A bunch of us are pretty sick of where we are with the shenanigans JO is pulling on us. What I USED to like about Mesa was there used to be plenty of reserves, and I could drop trips or parts of trips anytime I wanted. What is it like there in that regard? Plenty of reserves for dropping? And is it like Mesa used to be where you can drop parts of trips that you don't want? I understand some airlines only allow you to drop entire trips or nothing at all. TIA!

We have the ability to "split" trips. Like dropping a turn from the beginning or end of a trip to make it commutable, or only picking up/dropping a few days of a trip. It is approved based on reserve staffing though. From my experience as an FO, it's usually doable as long as you're not trying to split trips around transition time or certain holidays. And even then, if you get denied at first, just keep an eye on the staffing levels and it may get approved further down the line. I would assume that these drops are harder on the Captain side of things since staffing as slightly thinner on that side of the house

As much as anything, you could run into problems splitting trips because many trips don't pass through your domicile except for the first and last day of the trip. Admittedly, I'm based in Denver, so I haven't paid much attention to how the MCO and ORD trips are built. Perhaps some of those folks can chime in with domicile-specific info.

Now you done ****ed me off even more than A319 did. Someone like that is most definitely in the minority. Nearly everyone I fly with is angry and fired up, and the new-hires are full of **** and vinegar.

I bought mine on amazon Black Friday sale a few months back for $375.
Sorry to seem like I am trolling I am not...but in today's environment and with all the struggles with pay/work rules you guys have in front of you...(At B6 management is starting to see smaller recruit classes) How does Frontier management even talk someone into coming to a class? Oh and by the way don't forget to bring an I pad? (In today's environment !!!?) The sooner people stop showing up to classes or leave in droves hopefully that will bring them to the table.

You get reimbursed $600 for iPads first week of class and every 3 years to get a new one

I came from Mesa after 14 years. Could not believe that I was getting the same if not better schedules from day one. I get so close to what I want that I don't need to do much swapping or dropping like you needed to at Mesa. Besides I don't remember Mesa ever having plenty of reserves like you say...? The reserve system here is better. Period.

I think he's referring to (2013-14) in IAD/CLT... there were enough reserves then to do whatever you wanted.
