IF we go on strike, everyone on probation will get fired and then brought back after a TA is passed... however, I would bet literally anything I own or will own that we’re not going on strike... if you have a strike fund, then you have a nice bit of cash you can throw into your retirement or your kids college fund... it ain’t happening

I agree. I believe his post was more addressing that it’s not worth the risk to come here knowing you would likely be fired during a potential upcoming strike.

As someone who spent 89 days on strike, I ASSURE YOU that striking doesn't count as a "termination" on your record! It's a technicality which is made whole in the new CBA. All records are expunged. An actual termination results from a disciplinary proceeding under the CBA. "Whole different animal".

Sometimes I really wonder where you youngsters come up with this stuff.

Edit: Delta Air Lines is probably the only legacy carrier who will hold a strike against you.

Just out of curiosity - was that all at the same time (one company and same negotiation)?

And, what was the outcome (max contract)?

Guessing a regional (Comair)
Delta had other regionals to cover flying, we don't have anyone to cover our flying.

Wow.

Someone please teach the children today about the history of their industry and the battles that were fought by others before them to have the industry they whine about today.
