GoJet Growth

Both carriers have the luxury of being concentrated in one specific geographical area. Our United operation stretches coast to coast, with operations in more hubs than any other express carriers. You obviously have zero clue on what SFO alone does to performance metrics. You obviously have zero clue what DEN does to performance metrics every single afternoon in the summer. You obviously have zero clue about non published ground holds inbound to LAX. We have aircraft that can touch ORD / DEN / SFO in a single day.
Maybe you need to ask yourself a question...why exactly does SkyWest get all of this flying and is the largest and most depended on Express carrier of them all? Could it be because we can handle it? You will also notice that SkyWest and UA's numbers seem to hover around the same area more often than not. Why do you suppose that is?

GoJet has around 50 airplanes? ZW about 60? OO has around 200 give or take flying for UA...given G7 and ZW are about 4 times smaller in size and daily departures on the UA side I don't think its overly shocking to most of us that delays happen and I'm sure nor do the mainline partners. Its pretty simple statistics and math based on the size of an operation and the nature of this industry.
G7 should be +90% on all metrics given how much smaller the operation is based on your logic but are a long way off that from what I can see. Actually they are pretty darn close to OO in most metrics and even behind in ACF.
But really, who cares.

All regional carriers are not the same, Skywest will be here in 2 years, but nobody knows if GoJet will be here in October. Air Wisconsin treats it's employees with respect and as human beings, nobody is going to say that about Gojet with a straight face or in a total state of denial. Great lakes, just another regional?

Fee For Departure/ACMI flying is all part time work... None are real careers, trust me I made that mistake... Get your time and CV all in order and move along... Don't get comfortable until you are doing "Branded" flying, meaning you work for the people who are selling the tickets... 25 years and getting shuttered by your parent company is no way you want to roll when they transfer your aircraft to another contractor... Just my 10 Yen...

Assuming I have the hours for a DEC position*, would it be worth being a DEC at GoJet with a 1 leg commute? I already have over 1000 hours of multi turbine PIC, just no 121 time.
My alternatives are wait for a ULCC/LCC/Major to call, or go to Republic who has a crew base an hour drive from my home.
*I was told that my time flying 135 in a jet with 10 or more seats qualifies for the DEC position. Waiting on verification.

I'll give you the turd, but the rest of your post is the turd in it's original state.

it blew my mind when I was at my old regional. Yes I had pride but I understood the “game”.
