Like others, I had my class date at Republic pushed back twice + communication from their HR department has been awful.
Decided to interview with GoJet in early January and had a pleasant experience and have accepted a CJO with a February 21 class date + aiming for EWR base. Not going to wait 7+ months for RPA (I'm sure it'll be more)...heard from friends who are FO's still on reserve there that they haven't flown in more than 3 weeks and are only logging 10-15 hours a month. Not sure if it'll be better at GoJet, but at least I'll be able to start building 121 time instead of constantly waiting.

Class starts in Feb. I’m from somewhere far from any of G7’s bases. When do I move? I want to avoid commuting. Am I supposed to move to EWR or ORD before class starts? Or is there any time between training and IOE? I just don’t know what to do with that.

The hotel is not provided for the waiting period in between, which is at least two weeks. If it's cheaper to do a low end hotel for two weeks....
You'll have days off in between reserve to relocate.

If they are anything like the rest of the United Express carriers, it's yourself, your spouse, your parents and your children, and a friend. You can have a domestic partner or a second friend in lieu of a spouse. Annual $50/pop for everybody except the second friend which is $200. Travel is free for you and your spouse/dp, have to pay $25/leg domestic and $50/leg international plus taxes. Taxes are around $12/flight domestic and international varies with the foreign country. List organized first by codes based off the United partner (you'll go behind mainline and any regional who is operating their own aircraft, unless it is a GoJet aircraft in which case you're at the top) and within those codes the list is further organized by company seniority. You get a boarding pass with no seat assignment on it that you can use to get past TSA and they will give you your seat assignment either at the beginning or end of boarding depending on availability. United App is great for keeping track of everything while the gate agent is busy doing their job. After 6 months everybody but your friends gets ZED fare, which allows them to do low cost standby at the bottom of the list at pretty much any other airline in the world. I thiiiink registered friends get some flavor of ZED fare but only on Star Alliance and they have to be accompanied by you, but don't quote me. You'll find that pretty much every country does nonrev benefits better than we do in the States because many of them will give you a seat like 24 hours prior to departure so you can actually plan. Hope that helps
