Alpa advises AE furloughs don't fly for gojet

Is this the same guy who told Arpey that EGL should be the carrier
that flies the 70-100 seat jets because they could do cheaper than AA pilots.
Man, pot meet kettle......

you guys are getting off base here. the point is that GJ was created with a separate pilot group as an alter-ego carrier simply to undermine the TSA pilot group. you can talk about not securing the flying, you can talk about its UAL's flying, etc. it doesnt change the fact i just stated, so stop going off topic and realize what the purpose of that group is and what support for them reflects. every other union group should grow a pair and emulate AE's advisement.
btw, i love how certain threads can sit there and slam a particular pilot group for being a bottom feeder, but when one group of pilots stands up and says they wont fly an aircraft for a particular rate, and then gets punished via an alter-ego carrier, THEY should have secured the flying! we've been in negotiations for 3+ yrs ppl without a section TA'd in more than a year, you think we'd still be at those rates that we "secured" the flying at or no? you guys need to get real.

I'm confused. All of a sudden Eagle and TSA are on the same team? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't AE furlough like 300 guys back in '01, and at the same time give TSA 14 jets, some of which may still be on the property? So in effect, TSA was the Alter ego to Eagle back then, now the finger is pointed at GJ. (I'm not trying to defend GJ or its operation) I say ALPA has no business telling a furloughed brother/sister where to work. Were all adults, we can make decisions. That recently furloughed pilot has no benefits/protection/insurance/pay or anything from ALPA!

As well as Aloha... though I'm not familiar of any former Aloha pilots working there.
This AE ALPA advertisement is a bunch of horse phooey. Now, if it came from the Moustache Mafia in Herndon, I'd say alright!!! They're gearing to actually do something aside from whining. But ALPA National doesn't give a rat's about anyone except the Moustache Mafia.
I said it before, I say it again... if ALPA took better care of its members in distress i.e. furloughees, you wouldn't have places like GoJet or alter egos.
Prime example, prior to Aloha going under, as an FO, I was paying an equivalent of a car or a boat payment to ALPA every month. When Aloha was going under, they threw in the towel so fast it wasn't even funny, and even told us to fly cargo for free. Hell, they even took out an ad bragging about flying for free!!! When the dust settled, we got notifications that we were no longer eligible for ALPA-sponsored programs, hell, my ALPA-supporting Union Plus Mastercard sent me a letter too saying specifically that since I am no longer a member of ALPA, they were jacking up my interest rate. Finally... oh yeah, if I wanted to work for another ALPA carrier... my salary would be equivalent of an unemployment check DESPITE my experience, previous pay, etc.
Union brotherhood? PUHLEEEEEZ!!!!

ALPA has become nothing more then a self-interested business. They get good grades as safety advocates and should be relegated to that status alone. As bargaining agents they get an F. They should not be allowed to shake down pilots for the current dues they demand and their officers should face deep pay cuts. If we could cut their pay down to reasonable levels, we could reduce our dues.

Sadly correct.
