Well, I emailed NC software and got this response:

Too bad - I'm switching from Treo to iPhone in two weeks and I will miss my APDL logbook but I won't miss my Treo...

That's awesome - I am definitely gonna look into that one - like the option to link pictures to specific flights - it has some pretty cool features and looks like you can customize the entries.

Only 2 weeks till I become an iPhomaniac...

Unfortunately I got some bad news about the Skype application for the iPhone. Got an email from them saying that right now we'll only be able to use the chat (text) feature in the WiFi mode. To actually 'talk' we'll need to roam the network while overseas...

Yes, you are able to login into IM+ for Skype via WiFi.
You can not make calls in IM+for Skype via WiWi only, you need GPRS connection for it.
Only chat option is available with WiFi.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Our developers are discussing now the possibility to develop the new version with VoIP calls.
But it it not will be released in the nearest future.

Unfortunately, the second logbook (much better version than the first one in my view) is only available on Mac computers. Sucks as I’m not ready to switch to Mac quite yet – Mac computers’ gaming capabilities are not that great in my view... Search continues...

Well, this logbook can be kept on iPhone only however, you'll have a better overall experience when you sync it with your computer/laptop (Mac only). For example you can sync any pictures you’d taken into the specific flights and have a link pointing to them. I think that’s a neat feature – “here’s Shanghai airport I landed at on that day,” etc…

I have an APDL logbook on my Treo and I like it however I just received an email from them saying they have no plans for an iPhone version so I'll be switching to the logbook above unless I find something better.

yeah i have seen that one, but there is an internet connection required. I am wondering if there is a program where it doesn't matter about the internet connection, so you can be using the program inflight.
