If its 70 degrees out or warmer, there's a 30% chance the CA will get the walk around.

And same here, PLENTY of sub zero in the North East as well as Canada.

Congrats to her, she has a cush job flying a nice jet. People get lucky breaks all the time, life isn't fair! And it's ridiculous that anybody on here is passing judgment on her ability to recover from unusual attitudes when they know nothing about her training or flying abilities.

She really isn't that much of an amazing beauty. She looks like a normal girl who has done everything she can to market herself and her skills (like every professional). This happens to include her looks. She cleans up nicely. 99% of the time when women get ahead, it's because men like having nice, pretty young ladies around; this is no different than some of you who would prefer the company of a daughter figure over the standard men we are all so used to working around.

Do presentable men not get ahead of men who don't keep themselves nicely groomed and in shape? Same thing.

I am hesitant to use the military as an example, because at least 50% of the women I knew in the military were sleeping with everything in sight....but often women get ahead there just for being women.

Anyway, I'm giving some credit to this woman for doing everything she possibly can to further herself and her goals, and I'm choosing not to speculate that she is sleeping with someone. It's a bit unfair, just like assuming she doesn't have the skills to get through all the flight checks. I have a friend with less than a thousand hours who is a 747-400 FO. he's there because he was a whiz FE. He's never gotten less than 90's on all his writtens, has never failed anything, and is an absolute hotshot. It's not impossible for a woman to have these skills.

There's always someone who's a better pilot, better looking, better networking skills....so on.

UFB!! They get ahead "often" just because they're a woman? How often?
I wasn't as "in tune" with the sexual habits of the women I worked with in the military as you claim to be. 50%!! Wow. Did you have cameras in their bedrooms or what?

That's mighty nice of you to give her some credit and not speculate considering your other statements.

Did I say 'succeed', or did I say, "get ahead"? See what you want in the tea leaves. I've spent my whole life in male-dominated career fields (different kinds of aviation). I don't exactly work in an office where half my coworkers are women. Call me whatever you want, I could care less. I've worked for over a decade in a sector where pretty girls always get ahead and ugly girls don't. That's not on me, so don't corner me. Getting ahead of everyone else and succeeding are two different things.

Take it however you want. I said it. If you are leadership in a unit of 120 people with only 3 women, and 1 or 2 of them are somehow involved in every piece of Jerry Springer drama in your unit, it makes it's way to you no matter what you choose to pay attention to. Like it or not, most supervisors in the military have had to deal with (one way or another) accusations and cases of adultery and other improprieties. It doesn't matter whether you care, the UCMJ cares and people tattle on each other to their leadership. You can accuse me of whatever you want, pal. If you've never lead people in the military, you wouldn't know the level to which military units are involved in their troops personal lives. Maybe it's different where there are more women, like medical groups, maybe it's not. I don't care. I'm from the aviation side of things, which is male dominated. Whether you like it or not, women get ahead if they are pretty.

Why not? She could be a great talent.

I guess I didn’t pick up on the subtleties of your comment. So, “getting ahead” means success, position or reward that is undeserved. So, how do you determine the threshold where success becomes “getting ahead”?

Other than a tongue-in-cheek comment about bedroom cameras, I don’t see anything in my post that could be construed as me calling you anything or accusing you.
