There’s vacancies on every fleet except 787. After the bid closes for the newly announced 787/SEA base later in July (15 CA/30 FO) I’d suspect several FO vacancies on that go to new hires on the Hawaiian side. These slots are in addition to the 787/HNL base and Alaska can’t bid it until we go through an SLI which is probably early 2026. As for the July class, it’s whatever crew planning decides and can likely change until day of based on staffing needs.

Does anyone know the class drop for the July NH class? Also, any idea on what the next class should be expecting to get?

There are easily 30 FO’s who commute to HNL who would rather commute to SEA. There are probably 30+ on the freighter side alone who will bid for SEA.

I was thinking the opposite, that it would be hard to fill the vacancies, especially 30 FOs. I can only think of a couple of FOs wanting to take the SEA base. What has everyone else been hearing?

The question is how many people are eligible to bid it. The new equipment clause still applies, so they need to be 2 years on property.

they could always waive the equipment lock, but they have never done it before. I don’t expect it, but a new hire could end up 787 SEA.

that was under the old, more stubborn, not concerned bout costs, regime…

I'm betting AS will take a look at pros and cons and make an informed decision that is best for training and the bottom line.

still don’t think it’ll come down to it… European destinations, shorter commute, newer airframe, probably 100+ West Coast commuters.
