I've only seen people not get through the background check for bad credit/debt problems. PRIA will be conducted at indoc.

I know of two people who pull off commuting successfully. It seems most office managers have different opinions on commuting and telework.

Default Schedule

Are the other bases as short staffed as Sacramento and working a similar schedule?

You should plan on 2-3 trips per months at any FIFO.

All the bases are short staffed. Similar schedule at all of them. Kings airs at all locations. Sac (KSMF) and OKC have Learís. OKC also has challengers. Pick a base where youíll be happiest at.

Default Security clearance

Any inside word on when the security clearances will begin to be processed? Iíve been told the dept is not being funded currently and the class has already been pushed back from oct 13 to oct 28, are they thinking that the clearances will be processed before then still or is there only a glimmer of hope?

That information is likely outside the realm of knowledge that any of the LINE pilots would have; though we have heard that the originally scheduled INDOC class has been pushed to the right (later). Possibly into November, but not the why behind it. I thought the original Ďbe on deck by dateí was Oct 13th for the OCt 28th INDOC class.

Change is in the wind.

The **new** Special Pay Rates have been approved for Flight Inspection.

Below is the link for the 'locality' of OKC.

https://apps.opm.gov/SpecialRates/20...701012019.aspx

This is a new pay scale, not a bonus, so your high three retirement will be based off the new scale.

The current external hire promotion schedule for new hires are to come in initially at GS-13/1 until a qualified ASIP and then immediate promotion to GS-14/1.
