aviationinterviews.com and willflyforfood.cc, plus talking with a friend of mine who just went through the interview, was all it took. They are looking for teachable, not a Shuttle commander!
The Sim is VERY pitch sensitive. If you have never flown a FRASCA, it probably won't be your best effort, but again, they are looking for good skills, not a FRASCA expert. Make sure you are hand flying as much as possible (safely, of course) and keeping your scan up.
Memorize the AE mission/vision statement, specifically the "safest, most reliable, most successful" part, with an emphasis on "safest".
Good luck!

I would reemphasis the safety part as well. Just be yourself. They are looking for people who will not only be a great pilot but someone who will fit the American Eagle culture and work well with others.

By inviting you to the interview they know you have the required experience to be hired, but they want to see if they can spend a 4-day trip with you in the cockpit.

I have a class date scheduled for Colgan but would rather be at AE so I guess I need to tell Colgan thanks, but no thanks. I just don't want to get screwed later and find out that I didn't make it pas the review board.

I interviewed yesterday and out of 4 of us I was the only one who got the pre-offer letter. One was sent home within minutes because of paper work issues and the others were sent home after everything was completed. Of course they don't tell you why you were sent home, but they both thought everything went well. The gouges on willflyforfood.com are spot on.

Not sure. They told me it will probably be about a month before I hear anything back because of all the background information that needs to be collected.

Congrats Pirate! See if you can move your class date at Colgan before you just tell them no, just in case something comes up at the Captain's review board. From what I have been told (still waiting on the call for the medical myself) if you got this far, about the only way you aren't in is if you didn't reveal something that shows up on your background check.

Do NOT cancel your Colgan class until you are sitting in class in Fort Worth. Put them off or go ahead and start there if you have to and decide whether to leave for Eagle when the time comes.
Eagle's a very good regional (relatively speaking of course, and looong upgrade time notwithstanding) but the future here is murky. Unless you just want to live in a specific base that AE has and Colgan does not, you might decide that Colgan would be better anyway.
Good luck.
