How do you think your going to get an LAX slot? Are they guaranteeing domiciles? I know about 50 guys that are waiting to go to LAX me included.

Internal recs are huge! Last I heard they have 700 resume's.

My cousin has 1300TT, 70 Multi, CFI, CFII, MEI. I spoke with CC and she pulled his app up on her computer as I was on the phone. She said that he was short on the multi and short on the total, and that unless something changed she would not call him. So I wrote a letter of recommendation and his father (a 24 yr AA Capt) wrote a letter of recommendation and I submitted them to our Vice President of Flight Operation and BAM! 1 week later he got a phone call for an interview.

So ya internal rec's are huge.

If anyone needs a recommendation ill do it for $1000, you can just paypal it right over

Caboarder - sounds good. It's on the way.

Hey do you think lots of experience can make up for zero internal recommends? (I've been out of the country for a few years now and don't know a soul at AE...)

I think this is whats happening. I know in the beginning they were interviewing guys with like 5000 TT with 1500 Multi Turbine. Now they are are taking guys with internal recs with way less time. So it sounds like they wanted the guys with more experience and now they have interviewed all those, so now they are going to the lower experience guys. So if they were taking high time guys without recs just 3 weeks ago, I don't know why they wouldnt want you now. Does that make sense? So I say go for it, you have a decent shot at it.

I interviewed on the second day of interviews. None of us had over 1500 hours. 3/4 were in the pool. Basically the same setup for day one.
