DAL invites going out
#221
ACL (and others who have an opinion),
On the DAL addendum, "Have you ever been the subject of an evaluation board or been removed from flight status, downgraded, or failed any portion of flight training either civilian or military?"
I was prior military and received a SOD/Down, then continued training as normal after the standard paperwork. How would you answer: "yes" "no" or "yes" with clarification/explanation?
Thanks to all in advance,

I have a question to put out into the forum for the DAL pilots who might have some suggestions.
Is there any chance of a person being hired by DAL who was former military and pled guilty at a military court martial?
The person has been working at a 121 carrier, has 2500 PIC hours and 5000 total turbine hours, including roughly 1000 military heavy hours.

I would think his only hope is to be honest and be able to demonstrate good integrity and work ethic since. However, I also think it'll be an uphill battle, too many folks without that type of stain right now.

So is an internship at pre-merger Northwest considered Delta or not? I'm wracking my brain here trying to figure this one out. What would you guys suggest? I'm only asking because I selected Delta and then gave a detailed explanation in the box below it. Now I'm second-guessing myself. Thanks!

Seems as though they aren't very good at reading EKG's.
I'm a runner, and they jacked up my EKG as well. Got the leads backwards at first, didn't hook it up right, asked me if I'd ever had a heart attack (I was 25 at the time!), then said I needed to go see a specialist.
The specialist took one look at my EKG and said "there's nothing wrong with this- it looks like the leads were placed slightly off but that just shifts the picture... this is perfectly normal."
Derp derp derp...

That got corrected pretty quick with a call from his doctor, who was outraged. I'd have to get more specifics on the story but thats how it was explained to me.
Now that said, my experience was straight forward (a few months later) minus my high Delta fever of course.

Who knows, but when you did you internship, NWA was not DAL. So if it were me doing the app, I would put other airline, and then put NWA.
That is just being being factually honest, and I could be wrong.

Hey they did my EKG wrong too. They freaked out, told me to settle down when I started to tell them that their leads were in the wrong place. The Dr came in and told them the same thing. Kind of humorous to say the least, but not too funny when your dream job relies upon them doing theirs.

When I was going through the hiring process, I marked yes to this question because I failed a navigation checkride during UPT. I explained what I failed, why I failed it, and that I've never failed a checkride since. It didn't come up in the interview and I was hired.
Looking back two other people had "incompletes" with me including one that didn't bust any mins or procedures but her LCA just wanted to see her fly again, the second LCA scoffed and just had her takeoff and land VFR and was done. And another who put the gear down a dot below GS while OEI when OEI is on GS. Oh well. Hell, a Captain friend failed his ride because he failed to notice his engine failed while in an idle descent, he noticed when the power came up. They said you should've noticed 30 seconds earlier, but its okay here's your pink slip but you did so well I'm going to mark you down as pass and you can continue to aircraft training. ?!??????? idiots. Same place that did engine failures during your steep turns and compounded different emergencies on top of each other during a checkride.

If it was a crime of "moral turpitude" then I would say no way.
