Haven't heard this one yet, but I'm not surprised. Anyone coming here right now is either insane or lives under a rock.

I'm considering Republic for the potential $40 an hour, are you guys due to approve a similar option soon? The Q400 is not ideal, but I'd be willing to fly it for at least $40 an hour. Are there rumors of bonuses?

This people, right here, is why we can't have nice things.

To answer your question: No. If you had any common sense to read the last 5 pages or so you would see Alaska is demanding concessions from us right now.

$40 dollars an hour at RAH, in return you're willing to take on a contract so vague and ambiguously written by management lawyers they will own your soul the minute you step on property. Good thing the pilot group over there has a pair and are willing to hold the line. I hope we do the same when our time comes.

So does that mean at least $40 an hour isn't coming soon?

I'm not so sure this is a troll looking at other posts this person has made, at least not intentionally so. Definitely a world-class tool though.

You should take your "gold seal" and do some learning of the industry you are seeking employment.

You guys just took yourself out of the game, it will take a few months to see it but you're going to hit a hard wall of attrition before whatever your shady plan is can come to fruition. This is sad, Horizon was respectable and even a bit iconic to the PNW, you probably could have just weathered the storm on that. People liked to fly on Horizon, nobody cared that their flight was on turboprop.

This. After a year of flying cargo I'm looking around to see where I want to go next, and as I'm from Seattle Horizon would work out well. But crap like this almost ensures QX won't get my application, and I'm sending a link to this thread to a friend of mine currently applying as well. Who comes up with this and really thinks it's good for the company's future? Should be interesting to see how this one plays out.
