What's happening at Horizon and Jets?

The company is just flat out refusing to comply with the contract they signed.

New hires beware.
Management hanging schedules and not honoring promises
Talked to two pilots today in SEA done with IOE, flying 90 hours or more and only getting paid for 64 hours
Q400 Horizon is not honoring the new TA 4.2 hour a day guarantee is not being honored by the company
you will pay $1000 for uniforms and get to work for free.
Contract has MAY language that gives the company the option to follow or not

Working 90 credits after ioe before off training pay is real tho.

Just part of another long-term cycle?
I am a recently retired Army aviator (1300TT (1050RW)) and have been looking forward to a career with Horizon/Alaska since the days of the Metroliner with the ugly orange logo. I am VERY disappointed to hear about what is currently transpiring between pilots and corporate leadership.
1) Has this kind of pilot treatment and lack of corporate integrity occurred in Horizon's history? If so, please provide some insights on past corporate motives, solutions, etc.
2) What were the short and long term effects in other airlines that suffered the same internal dysfunctions? How long before it's "over" for Horizon Airlines?
3) Which regional airlines do YOU Horizon pilots admire and recommend for a part121 newbie like myself?
Thanks for the great reads in this forum!

Flying for Horizon is not the same thing as flying for Alaska. Don't be fooled. Flying for Horizon probably doesn't even give you an advantage in getting hired at Alaska, possibly the opposite.

Maybe go to a local flight school and see if any of the instructors can direct you to a former employee, as some people were furloughed years back and never went back. They might be able to give you contact info for current pilots that don't frequent these pages.

My best advice is to not judge an entire company based on what you read on the forums. There is a lot of negativity for every company on each of the respective pages. If these pages were the only source for recruiting no one would ever apply to any airline. I have a few friends who fly for Horizon and absolutely love it. They never plan on leaving and want to retire from Horizon.

What he shouldn't have done is put it in the magazine where it could be read by the customers on his planes. I bet that gave a whole bunch of warm fuzzys to the fearful flyers embarked.
