What's happening at Horizon and Jets?

It's all about that "More Money, More Time Off"...why go and sit reserve on the jeeeeeeet, when I can more or less choose when I want days off/etc.
Once QX gets off their backsides and incorporates our 4.2 min day rig, for now the trips will be paying more.
Supposedly it takes 6 months to write software to make that kind of change (nevermind that the FA's have a 4hr min day, and have had for some time...)

I cant belwive we have to wait up to 6 months for 1 part of the LOA to take affect. Who wants to bet we will get the 4.2 min day credit by August? Just enough time for them to quite building inneficient trips. This is just another insult from qx management.

This is why I don't understand how some of you can be so hostile towards OO pilots for being non union. While I would actually vote yes and even help with a drive, I read things like this and wonder what the hell the point is.

In the mean time we will just have to continue flying extra safe and do our jobs EXACTLY how we're supposed to do them.
Also, I've talked to a lot of our bittervets who would describe what Horizon management was like without a union. It was worse, way worse. As in practicing a type of evil and injustice towards a work group that you would only expect to see in movies and you would still be like "there's no way that could happen in real life."

Word302 - Please keep in mind that our company is the problem here, not the union. Alaska and Horizon management have a long history of violating our contract. Our grievance process gives us a means to correct some of these wrongs. Yes, the process is painfully slow, but otherwise, where would we be?
