We don't really have the slots anyway.

I'm not sure I agree with this guy's conclusion that Embraer has the "inside track" with the new E195e2:

The 190 is the perfect plane for Midwest stand ups...

Default Can't beat the versatility of the C-Series...

This is pretty impressive:

Any of you guys see this land at JFK?

If they could do that out of LGA that could be a Mint.

It's possible. Add same service at HPN and you can win a lot of new business flyers looking for JFK or EWR replacements to London...

The C-Series makes a lot of sense as an E190 replacement. No doubt Bombardier will push hard to get more sales...

The passenger terminal at HPN does not have an FIS. Customs for GA arrivals only.

Lets not forget about ISP. I believe B6 wanted some gates there a few years back but Southwest runs the show on Long Island. Less than a 1hr drive from JFK and 1:30hr on the train from Manhattan. I think JetBlue could see a lot of business if you ran a 190 from ISP down to DCA to compete with the Delta/AA shuttles out of LGA. Longer runway than HPN too. They're even building a $10million customs facility. Only problem is it's only convenient to people already on Long Island, as it's pretty isolated from everywhere else in the tri-state area.

Question is can a C-series, or 321LR get off a 7000' runway with pax and fuel to Europe?

Granted, this was with representative 42 pax payload which is more than what BA does with their A318s on the route and they did it non-stop.
