There's a lot of hyperbole and debate for sport, but ultimately it's a great job, good luck.

I used to tell guys to update their app frequently by adding more hours after every couple of trips to show a high degree of interest, but maybe the system doesn't allow that anymore? Not sure.

For sure! I have been pretty persistent with regards to the ability to update hours.... I am not sure why some are having issues as I am still able to update my profile... (unless they are referring to hours on the actual application)

I have applied for the last four windows and was fortunate to get the invite to attend VIB this past December... so fingers crossed this is the window that makes it happen! Thanks for the good info!

Ours was 10 190 slots and 6 Bus slots (2/6 class). I think they are still doing some Bus vacancies for future classes. One December class was all 190, around 30 or so, and it created a big backlog. They had to take a month off. Most of our class has a ten day break. So it seems the training department is trying to put some on the bus so as not to create too much of a bottleneck due to only having two 190 sims.

Also, pretty much everyone got what they wanted. If you don’t mind being on reserve a long time, you can likely get the bus. Most senior guys chose the 190 though.

When did the 10 day break start? Right after indoc? I'm guessing indoc lasts about a week?

I'm in class starting next Wednesday, so trying to decide if I drive down and plan on staying for a full 6 weeks, or fly down knowing I'll be taking a break shortly after getting my slot. The drive in 7+ hours, so don't want to do it twice if I don't have to.

It started today. So yes, a week of class, then you will have the opportunity to take the break if you want to (or have to) after Indoc. While on break you'll be doing CBT's. The choice whether to do the break or not goes by seniority, which goes by age (oldest = most senior in class).

I submitted the video interview on 1/24 and still haven't received any communication back (other than the submittal confirmation). Is this typical or should I try to reach out to the recruiting team?

TIA
