Nothing is given, only earned.

4,828 seniority list pilots as of today. And to clarify for the spirit guys, there are a lot more junior guys than those awarded CA seats awaiting training.

Not super inspiring though. All those 190 guys have to go somewhere, and at 5+ years to be the most junior Captain anywhere, not the best news. With 3,000+ pilots coming in from spirit, I can’t imagine that it suddenly gets better?

they will go to the 220. Equal exchange in airframes.

after the 2019 guys upgrade(which they already are) it will jump 2 years to post Covid hires, who already hold awards and will be captains by the end of the year.

A 12/2021 hire holds a captain award for December 2023. The way our awards work means he will be trained an qualified by 12/23. He starts training in October.

yes that’s for a 190 now, but again the 190’s will all be swapped equally for 220‘a so you will see the 220 upgrade start to drop as more come online.

Yeah, that’s probably why attrition is the way it is at both carriers.

I would just add some info. I think there are 4,800+ pilots now.

And those are the Jr CAs on the line right now, I believe. JB has many CAs awarded class dates for later this year, some were hired in 2021.

Yes, 4805 as of Jan 2023 seniority list. I’m not sure why PVBM shows lower. Probably because ~200 of those guys haven’t completed IOE yet.

As for the future vacancy awards, all true it is projected as going more junior than today but until butts are in the seat it doesn’t count in my mind.
