You guys are totally missing the biggest engine contributor.

APU

Runs at a much higher rpm with less mx and many more “hours” before overhaul. NK has found that the seals leak on the APU and the oil leaks and atomizes into the bleed system. See the guys post a few pages back where everything was fine until he started the APU.

It's not that simple, I'll try and give a better answer when I have time. I still believe the IAE is the biggest problem.

What is the specific blood test that can be requested?

I'm sure you guys saw the ALPA email. Don't hold your breath on this Bill. Our servant government has once again failed to provide even the facade of protecting your health.

A carbon monoxide detector is useless in identifying VOCs. I can't believe ALPA supports such a useless bill. I guess I can believe....

Can it also smell like someone in the aircraft just used a whole bottle of hand sanitizer?

If only there were an organization representing most pilots that could form a class action. If only...

If that hand sanitizer smells like magic marker, then yes.

Almost like a sudden release of cleaning chemicals..... Usually that waterless hand sanitizer evaporates quickly enough that it doesn't linger and tingle the eyes and nose.....maybe a germaphobe just used the lav......or.....

Funny you mention that no..
every time I read your posts on here. the vast majority appear to me be short little leading questions. like you are trying to get people (professional pilots, company emoployees) to admit certain things that could be later used in a lawsuit.
I actually think you have ulterior motive. maybe you're a lawyer, or maybe you want a settle meant someday yourself.
