That’s complete BS. Most other airlines have a fleet that does mixed flying(Intl and Domestic), somehow the FAA is ok with everybody else doing it. Yet JB management says the FAA won’t let them, because we’re special apparently. If the european flying is fenced off to where you can only fly to Europe and nowhere else, they are going to have a revolving door of training events. Nobody wants to do that $hitty flying more than once or twice a month, if that.

Don't shoot the messenger! I'm just telling you guys what they told us. This all came from Warren. I could care less about flying to Europe, and with Marty gone now, it wouldn't surprise me if JG f----s it all up. It will be more delays, delays and delays.... just like Central Load control. How long have they been trying to get that going? 2+ years?!

But you should have seen through the BS lies and at least told him that answer didn't smell right. They should just admit they are being cheap.

If they fence that flying, that would be absolutely pathetic.

Reference section 24.V of the CBA. Only one leg per SQ pairing has to go to a SQ airport, so the company has the ability to add on additional regular flying to the pairings.

Day 1: BOS - LON
Day 2: LON - JFK
Day 4: JFK - MCO - BOS

That's roughly a 21 or 22 hour four day that meets the SQ requirements. I'm sure not every SQ pairing will be like this, but the company reserves the right to do it. As we know, if the company can do it and it saves them money and/or staffing, then we know what decision they're likely to make.

Until there's more Europe flying, I don't foresee 24.V.5 being a factor either.

You are correct. It will be a sub base. And yep, it's because they do not want people being able to only do it once a year. If you fly across the pond, that's pretty much all that you'll do. I hope the senior guys fall all over themselves to get it. :)

By 31 Dec is the claim, I believe. Rumor has been espoused that it will be this summer. We shall see.
