No offense, but what is the deal with people not being able to see yellow highlighter? I mean, you looked it up and gave me a reference.

If you're going to correct people, take some care to see if you're right first.

I actually had that part already written down in my notes of when I had an EA. So I wouldn’t have to find it when I tell scheduling to f off

Ha. Fair enough. It is a bit tough with the combo of the FSM/CBA we have now.

There's just so much bad info on all of our message boards. People need to make sure if they are the ones that are answering questions that they are right. Other people read bad info and assume it's correct and it makes our pilot group even more uninformed.

You are correct. It will be a sub base. And yep, it's because they do not want people being able to only do it once a year. If you fly across the pond, that's pretty much all that you'll do. I hope the senior guys fall all over themselves to get it. :)

No, it's because they don't want to train 1,500 pilots between BOS/JFK. It's $$$.

Yep thanks for the correction. Hopefully all the highlighted stuff will be changed soon.

Before the put out the bid for this LR only bid group, they better put out a significant amount of information including mock pairings, hotel locations, etc... That position could end up being EPICALLY bad.

Yes, this is an issue. Not just on message boards, but in the cockpit as well. Another one I've noticed people don't seem to be aware of is reduced pay protection for a VDA that is CXL prior to report time.

3.O and yes, it's been white for a while now.

Incorrect. It's about ETOPS and the fact that it requires currency and skill to operate that kind of flying. This isn't an opinion.

Red-line-of-death doesn't require currency and skill? Nothing guarantees an FLL crew has flown to one of the high-risk locations recently correct? You think open ocean with and a British accent are more dangerous than high altitude ops, 20,000 mountains, min-fuel, English as a 2nd language and 3rd world infrastructure?

Honest question?

Bluedriver 06-09-2019 06:50 AM

And as for ETOPS, all Alaska pilots are ETOPS trained, nothing ensures that crews have recently flown to HI. Many other airlines ETOPS qualify an entire base/category with mixed flying.
