Better than none, less than I expected.
Because an XLR is simply a variant of the A321s on order, probably will place rolling orders every 12 months or so converting future deliveries rather than commit to conversions in larger numbers today.
26 total trans-atlantic aircraft with the LRs.

Yep.... They can't wait much longer or there would be a delivery gap as JB's current deliveries run out. The delivery slots are full for many years now.

Yes. But keep it in perspective. Those 26 LR/XLR aircraft were already coming as A321 Mint or HD. So no additional growth, just conversions from regularly scheduled A321 deliveries.
The 10 A220s are growth, unless they coincide with old A320 retirements.
Good news yes, but keep it all in perspective.

Sure. Agreed 100%. It’s not growth on the 320 Fleet but nice to see us doubling down on our long range ambitions. I’m guessing more LR/XLR flying gives the pilot group more options. I personally don’t have the urge to fly red eyes to Europe and back 3 times a month but if all the guys senior to me bid to that category I’m ok with that. But true if we park some of the classic 320’s down the road then this news is just meh.
