I agree about Alofts.. not good crew hotels. I cannot imagine Alofts are shared with legacies, but that is not a big deal in the scheme of things. Some are certainly better than others.

As the others have said, generally on par with the legacies (big 3 anyway, can't speak to AS/HA), better than Southwest. The 190 fleet seems to have some of the less desirable properties due to the destinations. 320 fleet is almost all 4-star hotels with some 5-star and 3-stars sprinkled in. If you're going to less desirable places or always doing short layovers you'll see more 3-star airport hotels than others might. I can't think of a long-stay which isn't 4-star or better, even if it is a dated Hilton or Renaissance.

On par with the legacies for sure…legacy flight attendants.

I routinely see UA and DL pilots. Hotels isn’t an issue here in my opinion.

Default Like some honest advice/feedback

Hi everyone ,

I would like to request some honest feedback and input from someone who has been and looking to retire at JetBlue to pm me. I have some questions that I’d like to get some sincere feedback on as Jetblue has been and will be my career airline and I hope to get on eventually one day. I did come close last year when the pandemic hit as I did a video interview and then the country shut down and my app fell through the cracks during pandemic . However Im still keen and focused to join but have some things I’d like to share with a current JetBlue pilot who would be kind enough to give me some tips and advice . Would appreciate anyone’s time . I am a current 121 pilot for a cargo operation . Thank you and Happy Holidays to all on here . Fly safe .

Yes they are! Good Lord you guys have some low standards. Hotel standards and location is an issue, along with ground transportation. And yes, I did stay in some better hotels at my regional days and I was always in a professional car service if one was needed, not some Uber or beat down Rockaway shuttle.

Here at JiffyJet we have a Hotel "Guidelines" section in the CBA, not "requirements".... guidelines! They can put you in a "3-star" Holiday Inn next to a Hooters off the Freeway and it will meet the "guidelines" for a long stay. A common theme here is we either have a great hotel, but in a crapy location, or a crap hotel in a great location. I can only think of a few places that have both a great hotel in a good location.

The Hotel section needs tremendous improvement! No more Ubers for ground transportation and limits on max. Limo legs! You guys are major airline pilots, get that 'It's better than Mesa" mentality out of your damn heads!

There’s not a more futile exercise when a group of pilots try to argue over hotels and which ones are good. Your opinion doesn’t carry more weight than someone that’s satisfied with the hotels we have.

There’s more than just a few overnights that are good hotel/good location….again this is my opinion.

You are right that the hotel section of the contract is completely toothless and needs much more restrictive language. I really do think people's perceptions of hotel quality comes from what they are flying. If they're routinely staying at Fairmonts and Westins they're having a different perception from the people staying at, for instance, Holiday Inn RSW (bad property and location) or Wyndham San Diego (poor quality property).

Criteria language must be majorly improved and ALPA needs to have veto authority for any property selection. And cheapskate pilots need to stop b*tching about nice hotels. Go work for Mesa if you feel more comfortable in a 3-star budget business traveler hotel with a value menu at the bar or a Denny's or Hooters next door. JFC.
