VDA sucks for most of the pilot group. I have mentioned this. More than once. Not only here, but in repeated surveys and PDRs.
This was the first time in my life I’ve had 300%. At any airline.
I was being a deliberate PIA due to the OP being unable to use an already viable useful thread with the information they sought. I followed that up with reasonably accurate info because I’m not a total db, only a partial one.

FWIW, I’m in a vacation month, crediting 120 with 17 days off and 47 block.

How many times have you guys actually shot a cat 3?

I’m going on 12 years and have shot exactly 1 real cat 3. I can’t imagine it being a serious operations issue.

We have way bigger operations issues than 5g.

I did 3 one winter on the 190….as the FO. Obviously captain hand flies them. One of them, captain hadn’t touched the hud for 3 days and now we’re going into PIT that has gone to complete sh!t. I’m like, are you good with this dude? 😂 He laughed and was like yea I’ll be fine…did a heck of a job too.

Even if you don’t actually do an actual cat 3, you need ut just to be dispatched sometimes. Was at the gate a couple weeks ago about to push for JFK when they went to under 1/4SM in fog. We could’ve legally been dispatched under 3585 but ops didn’t want to, presumably because they didn’t want the cost and headache of a diversion. We were delayed a couple hours and lots of pax missed their international connections. Thanks FCC!

If you want to live anywhere near Boston, I hope you’re a simple man *and* a millionaire.

Would anyone be kind enough to state the commuter policy in brief? I read in one of the threads that you are sort of protected during times of weather disruptions??
