Which bases/equipment are new hires getting lately?
Which of the above should I bid for to make the two leg commute from TX more bearable?
Average trip pairing length in junior bases?
Schedule flexibility?
Training pay/benefits, footprint, tips?
Travel benefits and when do they kick in?
Pros and cons of working at JB?

I know everything’s very fluid right now, but just want to have a better idea for planning.

Your responses are greatly appreciated.

after 20+ years in this business and a commuter for 12 of those, apply someplace you won’t have a two leg commute. That’s gonna be miserable.

Why in the wide world of sports would you want blewjet? Especially when every airline is hiring like no time in history and 3 of the 4 largest have large pilot bases in TX.

Erase your B6 app.

Apply to Envoy and NK.

Live in base.

Pick up premium.

Upgrade.

Continue picking up premium.

Flow to or get hired by AA or UAL.

Well, someone has to experience the Agony of Defeat.

My mind runs through with that skier, coming off the jump. He crashes through the sign and tumbles down. Ouch!

I dont mean to discourage you, but this is the big picture. B6 hates it's pilot group and will always attempt to run understaffed leaving you with little schedule flexibility.
Welcome to B6, but I hope you get the opportunity to leave.
I’ve been here 5 yrs and I live in base and I’m content. As you should already know every airline has their problems American Ual delta look on their forums.. someone is always complaining about something. But instead of discouraging candidates from coming here why don’t you leave …I say this respectfully!

anyone saying that they shouldn’t be looking elsewhere right now if the situation fits is crazy. If a nyc local go to a legacy and get senior super fast. I’m a 7 year and currently working on my logbook…

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an uptick in the 4-8 year pilots here.

Until the next recession/black swan event and everyone here is questioning the move just like two years ago. Round and round we go. I mean everyone should do what they think is best, but 6-8 years in and still tidying up the logbook is a little bit behind the power curve depending on how quick you can get your stuff together and get an interview. IMO.
