Years ago a Captain told me “Never forget that Jetblue is not an airline. Jetblue is a travel and vacations company that also has airplanes.”

Didn't make sense at the time, but it makes sense now. With NEA they don’t need planes or pilots to send people to Europe, or anywhere really.

Maybe some good news, in their motion to dismiss, company lawyers said, “A joint venture by definition envisions some degree of profit-sharing.” So maybe we’ll get some after all!

I mean it’s fine if you want to vote no to LOA 17, but there’s not reason to talk in extremes like this to prove your point when you know it’s false. It’s hard to have a constructive debate about it.

That’s hardly talking in extremes. LOA 17 fully allows 100% of European tickets sold to be on AA aircraft.

WRONG! Only 99% can be AA, I think they excluded London.

Their TATL flights can carry B6 code. Jetblue flights cannot carry AA code. This was apparently done to help survive DOJ scrutiny since AA already has a big TATL JV with BA and/or one world.

But chris Kenney said at the roadshow that I went to, that it was because the London flights were so profitable they didn’t want to put anyone else’s code on it. When he said that, I about fell out of my chair. That makes no sense.

I wonder if they just kept LHR out of the revenue sharing, oh I mean "MGIA".

Or they went back on their word...

That could just be a codeshare flight, not part of the NEA JV. They’re probably just making pennies on the dollar on that one, unlike the flights to the rest of the world.

Wasn't the decision to not include LHR done before JB transatlantic flights even began service? That would make CK's statement a blatant lie.
