What the Luck happened to the Jetblue I used to know? Where's the SPIRIT? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest Flight of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst.

Spirit deal is mostly dead regardless of the result of the appeal. There will likely be a new DOJ less than a year from now. And if it’s a Trump DOJ, they will not bat an eye if Icahn wants to sell jetblue to another carrier. If it’s another corrupt leftist DOJ, B6 can still be sold to Alaska with little DOJ resistance. I think that’s the most likely scenario regardless of the election results, but there are more options for Icahn if Trump wins.

I'm still wondering how a HA/AK merger can happen, given the DOJ just set precedence by blocking our merger. I also don't understand why a treasury share deal was struck between Spirit and government, and if this is somehow related to the appeal. Thinking about a 3 way JB/HA/AK deal is really putting the cart before the horse.

Exactly. America doesn’t want Trump. They also don’t want Biden but they WILL pick him again over Trump. If Haley is the nominee she will win in a landslide. Republicans need to decide if they want a loser named Trump or a republican in the White House.
