They do have a waiting list, so if some one cancels you may move up and get the short call. I personally know two people who were short called, one had 6 days the other had 10.

I had a friend who is a FO for JetBlue offer to give me a internal rec, do you think this will help my chances of landing an interview?

Is Jetblue's application window open? It shows they are hiring under airline profiles, but when I log in my account and run a search for Fo positions it comes up empty. Thanks for any info.

That means it's not open...

Someone here mentioned there's a rumor of it opening again in March so just keep checking in. It should become your hobby to check this forum/thread habitually...it's what I recommend at least

It doesn't hurt, but to put it into perspective during the last window they had roughly ~5000 apps and I think 80% had recs. Even guys with Blue Darts are having a tough time getting called. Best of luck.

Internal recs may not get you an interview, but they can't hurt. When you get the interview, most agree they will definitely help.

My opinion: NEVER turn down an internal rec.

Look at it this way: the company doesn't really know you other than your resume, app and the time you get at the interview. Having somebody they have already hired recommend you generally is going to help your case for getting hired. To prove my point, JetBlue treats Crewmember rec letters separately (they don't limit number you can turn in at interview) from external rec letters (can only turn in 3).

Default jetBlue Hiring

Can't imagine a blueDart having a hard time getting called once it's used. Had a friend use a blue dart and he was called 3 days after it was given and a interview date two weeks later etc. Now it was also perfect timing cause calls were already going out ...

I don't think they delay blue darts once they are used .

My experience was different. My buddy applied in the last window of 2013. Submitted blue dart in dec 2013. Didn't get interview until late April. Still isn't in class at jetblue...

Blue dart may take longer than anticipated.

Blackbird,
If you look at the top of webpage you'll see a tool titled, "Search Thread". It can help for things like this, or when trying to gather information on a particular company.

Cheers!
