Eagle is a good example of what you are talking about though. Isn't Pinnacle owned by Delta now?

Still, your point is well taken.
The wholly owned carriers definitely fit in that group(eagle, PSA, pdt, pinnacle, others?). The word "affiliate" carrier could be used to refer to a United Express/UAL relationship, in my opinion. Either way it would be a legal battle that the newhire has to fight on their own depending on how JB interprets things.

Really only affects Eagle, PSA/Piedmont and now Pinndeavor (Horizon MAYBE. Not sure if they're still park of Alaska Air Group). But like I said, I don't know too many people that would leave JetBlue for those places (and 1st year pay) voluntarily.

No, but if you are at Eagle, come to jetblue, then you can't go to AA until 2 years is up.

Affiliates » SkyWest Airlines
Depends on the definition of "Affiliate." Using the one defined under Sec 15 of the PEA, I'd say it wouldn't count since United/Delta/whomever owns less than 30% of the carrier. You are right thy it would trigger a legal battle, though.

Didn't think of it that way.

Also, this hold music is putting me to sleep. Anyone else?

Yea, I'm not sure if the Section 15 definition applies elsewhere. I wouldn't bet the farm on it either way.

A JB pilot I talked to in the airport today said 20% increase in base pay. Is that correct? Is it across the board?
