yes, the pea thing is a hypothetical.

Look for an email from JB ALPA about the scheduling after the Jan. Run is complete.

I know at least 5 people who have been hired by both JB and SWA.
If you could start class next Monday at either, which would you pick?

JetBlue. Southwest is a great company with great people, but the 10+ year upgrade and limited growth are off putting.

That is a VERY interesting question, as I am faced with that exact dilemma at this moment. I agree that both are outstanding companies with certain advantages/disadvantages to each. I have been weighing it all over for the past month but will have to pull the trigger shortly on one of them. Good choice to have but a tough one nonetheless.

Nice problem to have. I'd say either is good. JB has yet to see it's first negotiated CBA (it's being crafted now) which will likely see significant improvements across the board bringing in line with SWA has.

Which one allows you to drive to work? Choice made!

Sadly, in my case, neither. I live in South Florida and now that it is taking well over a year to get FLL with JB and MCO takes about 3.5 at SW, I would have to commute either way.

Eh. I'm not sure that it'll be that large of an improvement.
Pros:
SWA: No PBS, opportunity to work extra, larger route structure, AWESOME healthcare and dental plans (350$ a month-or 0 a month with one of their plans), good culture
JB: quick upgrade, good culture

Cons: SWA-not Herb's airline anymore-that really isn't a con
Longer upgrade
Cons JB: less pay, not good health benefits, not good for commuting from my location, no CBA

Anymore to add?

I forgot to add that SWA has a very small wait to class up.
I could be in class and flying the line before JB even calls to offer a classdate.
