It took more than three weeks for me to get a response after the video. They asked for a flight history addendum. After submitting that it took another month to hear about an actual interview. Things do not move quickly in this process.

Did anyone get the interview directly w/o having to submit a flight history addendum?

After you submit the video screen....It may take a couple weeks for a recruiter to take a look at it (they are line pilots) believe or not we don't know when you will complete and submit the video screen. LOL. 3 things can happen from the video screen...... TBNT, a TFA's required (training failures), or Interview to be scheduled. If you have training failures that requires waiting for the candidate to send it in and a Check Airman to look at it who is (also a line pilot) . The CKA could says TBNT, ITBS, or en extra look maybe required for PHC review.

After all this happens and successful. It would be time to come in for an interview. We are not going to schedule an interview two months out. So we would wait. We are interviewing on average 4 times a month. This takes prep time and the interview day is all day for us. We would not want to schedule you for a May 18th interview and then adding one at the beginning of the month and then put you behind them. That would not be fair?

JetBlue pilots have a lot to do with hiring here at JB. We worked hard for this privilege and are line pilots as well. This is a good thing IMHO. It's good for all. We are hiring like hot cakes and are doing hundreds of video screens. We are also hiring hundreds as well.

At the end of the day we do most of our work on the front side. We don't want to waste anybody's time. We want the candidate to succeed at the interview...Thats why we invited you.

Good Luck!

I interviewed on 3/26 and haven't heard a peep yet. I was just curious if it was common for guys to wait upwards of 2 or 3 weeks to hear anything back. It said in my app packet that if we are not selected to move on that they'd let applicants know within 2 weeks of the interview date. I know other guys I interviewed with have moved on to phase 2. Is there any reason some guys may take longer to hear back than others? Maybe I missed a call or email? Hopefully no news is good news.
Thanks in advance!!

Hey all...I interviewed on March 26th and haven't heard a peep yet. I know some guys that I interviewed with have gotten the green light to phase 2. I know in the app packet it said that those not chosen to move on will be notified within 2 weeks of the interview date. So, hopefully no news is good news. Curious as to whether there are reasons some may take longer than others (self diclosures, flight history addendum, etc.)? Maybe I missed a phone call or email somewhere? Hoping I'm still in the game though!!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for explaining the process, Hyper. Always a good job done by you and your crew, and while it may SEEM a thankless job, it is a very important and appreciated one.

For those in the waiting process... it can seem like forever. But until you get a TBNT, no news IS good news. Don't chew your nails too close to the quick. Just be glad the pool is so low these days, one less waiting period for you.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I was wondering too...my interview was on March 26th and I haven’t heard anything back yet. I know other guys I interviewed with have moved on to phase 2. In the email I got before the interview, it says we would be notified if not selected within 2 weeks of the interview date. So, as long as I didn’t miss a phone call or something...I hope I still have a horse in the race. Is there a reason some guys may take longer than others, say if we have self disclosures or other things like that? Is there an additional process? Thanks so much!

Random question here, but is there any logic for who interviews in MCO vs NYC? My initial email contact explaining the Phase I/Phase II process said Orlando. If I get invited, should I assume that will stay at MCO?
