And there in lies your overall problem, well if it's good for a regional it's good for us. You really need to get your head out of your ass. We are a MAJOR AIRLINE not some **** ass regional. A 1500 hour wunderkind getting experience at a regional is very different from having to go through extra sims just to pass a type ride. Extra IOE just to hand him off to the captains here to hold there hand to get that experience. There is no blind acceptance, I don't believe in don't like it and I can tell you the MAJORITY of pilots in the entire industry don't like it. It circumvents the natural routes of major airline pilots.
Grow up? Come on kid, your acting like a little baby sucking his anti alpa passifier.
Anyway this awful program won't be happening anyway.

Kid? I'm likely older than you are. And who gives a flying flick what the majority of pilots think? You can't think for yourself? You need a majority to tell you how to think?

I don't think 400 was ever an actual number, it was always our hope. I'll give you 300 and it's now at 175 for 2016. And the reason "is" because of less attrition. The telling times are pilots are seeing more reasons to stay.
With the A/C orders scheduled, JB will have 4400 pilots by 2022. Add the LR's that we will be the launch customer for in 2019 and by 2023 we'll have 30 of those which will take 600 pilots to staff (3 pilot crews for long haul), that will put JB at 5000 total pilots. 400 this year...175 this year... That isn't the big picture. By 2023 (if our planes still have JB paint) we'll have 5000 pilots and 330 airframes... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I like the product but I am a little nervous that wallstreet and our new leadership are going to be pushing us towards higher margins. Frontier fits 230 seats on an A321 and Spirit is cramming in 218. Frontier is cramming 186 on a regular 320 which compares to our "high density" 321 at 199 pax.
I like the idea of us growing to 300 planes but I don't see us being aggressive enough to compete directly with every airline that is also growing.

Our product is how we make our money. Most legroom, free drinks and snacks, tv's, wifi, and now Mint first class service. I hope we never change that. Flying on us is definitely worth the extra few bucks.

Ill agree with all of you.
The wall street pressure to change is real. Thats why we started charging for bags.
The lack of growth in a time when airline profits are doing excellent, makes no sense and most definitely, makes me wonder.

Well, that's happening. We're going to 165 with the cabin refresh in the 320's. No more 190's. We tried to cxl all the orders and emb gave us great cxl rates to only cxl half now and half later to save face in the industry.
With the market tanking we should be ok in the long term as long as oil stays cheap. If we're still jetblue in 5 years is still anyone's guess. Mergers happen in the down turns. Next 18months are gonna be interesting again.
