jetBlue Hiring

#6642

I was recently in training. There are no returns right now on the books (Subject to change). The ten planes we are getting are just for this year (2016). The delayed orders for NEO deliveries later is a good long term plan. We are taking more than 10 airframes a year starting next year. I am sure someone else can post the exact delivery numbers.

My gut tells me we fly them for at least 5 more years till we have another 40-50 Airbus' on property, then a move to dump them could/might be executed.

Hmmmm, I think Robin likes them more than our previous ceo. Also they work very well for short northeast frequency operations like most of the ops out of Boston. Also they are spending money putting flyfi on them, doubt that's to scrap them anytime soon. Not saying we'll get more, wish we would but we probably have enough for what we need them for.

Doubt we're spending money on the flyfi installs to dump them shortly

The 300 is a little larger than the 190, could be a good growth airframe, especially if the economics of the new engines are superior to the Embraer.
That said, I think the ERJ E2 is the same engine.
