I know.... 66 hrs credit this month. Not really doing me a favor.

But how does it work. How can I make money. Everyone says VDA, IROP, pick up trips. Everything I try is denied.

What did they say?

I still think we need a "100" seat aircraft but its going to have to be the E2 or the C series.

I guess we will see.

I try to list VDA if I really have nothing going on, but your phone will never ring during the week and I don't want to burn my weekends. I always find that if there is an RSA (very rare 190 FO in BOS) it's on the weekend.. and again, I don't want to burn them, that's why I bid reserve.

I have made some extra money by picking up a Hybrid (if they are good) and then hustling all month, and then back on Reserve the next.

But-- beware. I held a hybrid in December with the thought that if they saw 110 hours of projected credit on the DRO, I probably wouldn't get used on most of the RSV days. I was totally wrong-- I ended up working 10 out of 13 reserve days. Also if you are a commuter it is SCL only with a hybrid. No option for LCL so really only works for those in base.

Find a part time job on your days off, or a job that you would be able to leave if called.

Awesome. Thanks.

Projected credit for the month has no bearing on where you stand to get called on an SCL day. It only comes into play when they pre-assign known open time, and the awarding of LCR and REL, which I guess you found out the hard way. Once assigned an SCL period, assignment goes by who started the earliest that is legal for it that is on rsv for the same number of days of the assignment, with no regard for total monthly credit.

Just that it was an option. I think they mentioned going to the factory for a sneak peak.

Lmao! Will have to get stickers made when I get back to holding MCO. WE have at least one capt who did better than I did.

There's another way to make money on RSV that I forgot about too, marry a smart woman with a career!
