Hello all. I'm looking for hiring advice. I'm a retired navy pilot with ~2600 hours now. Flying for Endeavor about 6 months now. I've been to VIB twice and I update my app about every other day. I've been an instructor and evaluator, and I have around 1000 hours PIC military. I haven't heard anything from JetBlue so I'm wondering how I stand and if there's anything else I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
B. 2600 is on the really low side. Especially since our hiring numbers just went down by 250 for next year

DOWN by 250??!! Where are you getting that???
2600 is slightly low for a military guy, but not "on the really low side". At WAI they said 3k is competitive for a military heavy guy, 2500 if you were a fighter guy. Additionally, be sure to add the .3 sortie conversion-that might put you pretty close. From what I've seen and observed, JB is really big about you wanting to be there-you HAVE to seek them out-vets in Blue, Women in Aviation, OBAP you name it...the more they see you the better....especially if you are slightly on the low side for military hours.
That being said, have some self respect-don't paint your face blue or handout blue cookies (I'm kind of joking, but someone actually did mention the cookies as a tactic)
Good luck!

About the military hours...at VIB they said 2500 for fighters and 3000 (I think) for transports. Those are Air Force numbers. Navy-wise, we generally get no where near the same hours as an AF guy, and I was P-3s which definitely did not get those numbers. Is there a mention of that anywhere for min hours?
