may 2015 hire here...still hoping to transfer. didn't get it on the june bid. didn't get it on the September bid. hoping to get it on the December bid. that would be a transfer sometime between January and june. so if (and right now it is still a big if, the system does not show us who has a bid in for what) I get it in the December bid, that will be at or close to one year for me to transfer. it is all timing. there were guys last year who had better timing than I did, apparently.

Common sense means bringing lots of resume copies to vets in blue, is anything else suggested? Did I hear correctly about a written 500 or so word essay about why I would like a career at JetBlue or is that for the interview? Any other Do's and dont's would be great. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I believe the essay is just for the interview.

Don't waste paper and bring a "lot of resumes" to Vets in Blue. 5 might even be overkill. You will not be giving them out to every uniformed JBU person there.

What is the most Jr. base for JB nowadays? Would MCO be difficult to hold?

Plan a year min to get to mco on the 190 if you're lucky. Could be 2-3 though. Very little movement on the 320. Slightly more but not a lot on the 190. Things can obviously change but I'd plan on a commute for some time.

Mco is the most senior base. Lgb then FLL. JFK and Bos are... JFK and BOS.

Good luck

MCO JR man
190= Jan 14'
320=Aug 13'

HA! what blueblood said below\/

Forget upgrade... feb 07' and Nov 05'

I can personally assure you can plan on MCO right away, if you get hired...

...for about two months at least while you are in training

^^^^^I'm not so sure about this piece of advice. I brought about 5 and ran out. When I found the one guy who I had the best "connection" with (in terms of past military flying), I had by then run out...and I could see he was marking them for follow-up! I was SOL.

Just exactly how much harder is it to have a couple more copies made? They won't add much to the weight you're carrying if you're a big strong tough-guy like me
....YMMV.
