I don't mean to dash hopes, but the rumor around the training center is, as in March, there will only be 1 class in April, and none in May, as they will shut down for the summer so the instructors can go to the line for the summer rush. I hope I'm wrong, but don't be surprised if the fall estimate they gave you comes to fruition. A good friend of mine interviewed 1/12 as well, I'd love to see him down here before I finish training, but it doesn't sound like it will happen.

They don't close down the training center. The instructors for the most part aren't on the seniority list. The training center doesn't do much in the way of recurrent or upgrades during summer because of the increase of line flying, but that traditionally doesn't impact new hire training

Lets hope it's a false rumor. I know a few of the instructors are not on the seniority list, so I don't see a reason to shut down. Summer classes are usually less frequent and not as big. If they want to beef up for the summer, then they should be pumping out new-hires now
